Colter Morris is a sixth-generation horse breeder and trainer who has spent his entire life in the saddle. Raised in a family deeply rooted in the Western way of life, Colter grew up working with horses while helping guide and operate his family’s outfitting business, Skyline Guest Ranch.
 

From an early age, horses were not just part of daily life, they were the foundation of it. Through years of hands-on experience in real-world conditions, Colter developed a deep understanding of what makes a truly great horse.
 

Over time, Colter has also spent years intentionally developing a breeding program built around a carefully selected group of broodmares. Each mare is chosen for her disposition, athletic ability, and mind, creating a strong genetic foundation for the next generation. This thoughtful approach allows him to consistently produce offspring with the qualities he values most from the very beginning. His program is built on one core belief: horses should be safe, dependable, and enjoyable for the whole family. Whether in the arena, on the ranch, or in the mountains, his goal is to produce horses that people can trust.
 

A large majority of Colter’s sale horses are homegrown, bred and raised by the Morris family. This allows him to be involved from day one, shaping each horse with intention, consistency, and care. The result is a program that consistently produces well-rounded, reliable horses with the kind of foundation that only comes from a lifetime of dedication.
